Students at the Uni. of Central Florida Petition to Cancel 6ix9ine Concert

Tekashi 6ix9ine is slated to perform at the University of Central Florida September 22, but students at the university are hoping to change that. According to reports, students at UCF have organized and petitioned for 6ix9ine to be disallowed to perform on campus.

One student by the name of Noemi Teutsch said, “People are just as outraged as I am, if not more,” adding, “Universities are supposed to be upholding certain moral standards and certain values, […] I just can’t believe someone like this would be considered on a university campus to perform.”

Many of the students are citing 6ix9ine’s child sex offense as a disqualifier while others are afraid of the apparent violence he can/will incite. UCF issued a statement regarding the matter where they said in part, “Outside performers can rent the space. However, that does not mean that the university endorses them. At all times, the safety of our campus is our top priority.” (Via – VladTv)
