Russell Simmons To Bring Back ‘Def Comedy Jam’

Def Comedy Jam was were most of the comedians we consider the greats in the 90s & 2000s emerged.
Russell Simmons is giving credit for discovering some of the most prolific comedians of our era in his Def Comedy Jam series, a few include Martin Lawrence, Chris Tucker, Bernie Mack and many more.

Russell is now set to relaunch the series on HBO under new title “All Def Comedy.” Tony Rock is set to be the host, and Russell has announced the premier of the comedy special on Sunday, Nov. 12, Variety reports.

HBO agreed to six episodes, Shadow and Act reports.
