Former Illini great Dee Brown to join UIC coaching staff: report

This in former Illini basketball great Dee Brown will join the Illinois-Chicago staff this year as an assistant coach, according to CBS Sports. October 2016 Brown resigned from a post in the Illinois athletic department citing personal reasons. He had worked from July 2015 as the basketball program’s director of player development and alumni relations after serving as a special assistant to former athletic director Mike Thomas. Brown is one of the most beloved players to compete in a Illini uniform, also playing for 3 NBA teams before heading overseas. Glad to see they could reunite.
